(GROUP POST) CD design

This is my design for our CD. I have chosen to use a photo of trees because it links in with our video well and overall outdoor theme. The colour also links to our music video because we have included sepia and black and white colours throughout our task. 

(GROUP POST) Digipak - Third Draft

This is a design that I have created. I like the autumn theme on the front and back covers and the black and white photo because It links to the shots in our music video. I also like the font on the front cover. We could take some elements from this design along with other elements from our other designs to incorporate them together for our final digipak.

(GROUP POST) Digipak - Second Draft

This is Ellie's design, I like the the back cover of the two people sat at the lake because it links in with our debut single. I like the design on the front cover of the feather but I think if it was on the digipak it wouldn't look at professional because it's hand drawn. We have talked about the design and have said if we decide to use it we will generate a better design on Adobe Elements 11. 

(GROUP POST) Digipak - First Draft

This is the first draft for our digipak. We designed it together and have decided to incorporate photos of scenery to link with some locations in our music video. We like the colour scheme but think we need to add a photo of the bad somewhere on the digipak. This is something to consider when we construct another draft.

(GROUP POST) - Ideas for our Ancillary Products

Ellie and I haven't yet decided if we are going to have a group shot of the band or a landscape photograph on our digipak so this is an idea I have come up with if we don't use a photo of the band. This is a very quick sketch I have done which could be replicated better on Adobe Elements 11 to make it look more professional as this is just a draft. This would be the band logo with a landscape photograph faded in the background.

(GROUP POST) Initial Band Logo.

Since Ellie and I have decided on our band name, we have created this design for our initial band logo. We have used a feather as it is something that resembles faith and would hopefully become a memorable feature of the logo. We will continue to design further but this is our initial idea.

Filming - Lake

Today Ellie and I met with our actors at the lake to film part of our video. We were pleased with the outcome because we got some really good shots by the water and filmed lots of shots that we can develop by adding some effects such as over cranking. There was a foggy atmosphere which was perfect for the 'worrying' feel of our video.Becky, one of our actors has to show sadness throughout the majority of the shots so the fog helped to create this mood. Organisation of Models and Equipment

Since creating our new band, 'Elation of Faith' we organised our filming days. Ellie and I asked Becky, Will and Ethan if we could book them in for filming one morning in the studio and they agreed. Yesterday, we started filming at 9am and we did 3 takes in order to get all the shots types from different angles that we may need. We asked them to all come in casual clothes such as jeans and a plain t-shirt or jumper for the boys, and for Becky, a dark coloured dress or top and jeans. Whilst we were in the studio we also took some photographs that we could use for our adverts and digipak. Our next date for filming is the 9th November when we shall film Becky and Will down by the lake.
